T16D/T12D Self Centering Throttle Stick Adjustment
We need a screwdriver, a tweezer, hook and spring for throttle stick to be self-centered. (T16D/T12D comes with this hook and spring)
Remove the four screws on the back.
Remove the back shell of T16D.
Unplug the four cables.
We can see the left throttle stick is not self-centered now. I’m going to adjust it to be self-centered.
We need to remove the screws on this metal sheet.
If you don’t want the stick to be self-centered, you need to install back the metal sheet.
Remove the metal sheet.
Then we need to install the hook and spring.
Here are some metal pins next to the joystick. And there is a small hole in the hook.
Hang the hook on the pin. Like this
Then hook the spring.
Hook one end of the spring to a plastic pin under the screw. Here it is.
Use a tweezer to pick up the spring.
It is hooked.
Then hook the other side of the spring to the hook. Like this.
The Throttle Stick is self-centered now and it works well.
By the way, here are two screws on the stick. You can tighten or unloose the screw to adjust the damping of the stick.
Put back the back shell. Remember to connect the four cables.
Make sure the cables are not tangled when you put back the back shell. And tighten the four screws.
After the modification, we need to power on the transmitter and calibrate the joystick.
Power it on.
Enter main menu–transmitter settings–stick mode. Select the mode , which is mode 2 for this transmitter.
Calibration.
Move the sticks and knobs to the middle position.–Click OK
Move the sticks and knobs to maximum and minimum stroke. VRA and VRB. Don’t forget VRC and VRD.–Click OK
Now the joystick calibration is done.
Return to servo display. We can see all the servo values are normal.
