There are 4 steps in total.
Step 1. Download the latest firmware from RadioLink official website. (www.radiolink.com)
Step 2. Copy the firmware into SD card.
Step 3. Update the firmware.
Step 4. Check firmware version in RC8X.

Step 1. Download the latest firmware from RadioLink official website.

There are fix packs and complete packs for the firmware. Check carefully of their differences on this page and then download the suitable packs of the firmware.
The firmware is usually a zip file. You need to unzip it. There are some files in it, such as firmware, font, icon and so on.

Step 2. Copy the firmware into SD card.
There are two methods to copy the firmware into SD card. Using a card reader or a USB cable. I’ll copy the firmware with a USB cable. The SD card is in the card slot now. Power off RC8X. Connect RC8X to the computer with the USB cable which comes with the package.
Push DT1 and DT2 TRIM buttons to the middle, and long press the power button at the same time to enter into the USB mode.
Select USB MODE, and press power button to confirm it. The computer displays two removable disks now. RC8X-EXT and RC8X-INT. Copy the firmware to RC8X-EXT. During the copying, choose “copy and replace”

Step 3. Update the firmware.
Turn DL1 to the second option”Update the latest”, and short press power button to confirm it. The transmitter will recognize the latest firmware in SD card. “Do you want to confirm the upgrade? “ Press power button, and it shows “being updated”. “update successfully” pop out means the firmware update is successful.
Press PS3 to return to the previous page. Turn DL1 to “power off”, and short press power button to confirm it. RC8X is powered off now.

Step 4. Check firmware version in RC8X.
Long press RC8X to power it on.
Click the icon to enter the setting page– system–information. It shows the firmware version.
